I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken strips at Crossley and Sons in Somerset West.
They're not your typical run-of-the-mill strips; they're tender, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality and a perfectly crispy exterior. The accompanying sauce was absolutely divine, adding a delightful touch to the dish.
I must say, I was truly blown away by the quality. Kudos to the team at Crossley and Sons for exceeding expectations! Wow and thank you.
And for only R79... come on.. wow...
And a special thank you to our waitress ESTHER. She was so friendly and kind, service was efficient and lovely!
Ps: Sorry viewer, i had already eaten 70% of the portion before trying to capture a photo for the review.
Ordered some pastries the other evening. The lemon meringue was so yummy, very tart curd and such a soft and smooth meringue.
Also ordered a cashew nut, chocolate tart which apparently was a bit of an experiment and it was really delicious.
I also really having the best bacon, egg and cheese toasted sandwich here a while ago.
I knew from the moment the James Sadler Tea Pots hit the table that I was going to give Crossley’s a 5 star review. One cannot underestimate the importance of a good cup of tea, served in a beautiful tea pot.
Although I just had a Chicken Mayo on Sourdough, followed by a slice of Caramel Cheese Cake, our waitress, Memory, really looked after us as if we have been coming there for years. Seeing as we are relocating to Somerset West I can see Crossley & Sons becoming a regular fixture.
Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu.
