Today, I finally made it to this quaint Café (that my Dad swears by), tucked away in a quiet shopping centre in Moreletapark, and I could not have been more impressed!

Café Boma is the latest offering by the famous Boma Vleismark known in this part of the world for having the best meat in Pretoria by the locals, and this statement is supported by its National Cleaver Award. On an aside, Boma Vleismark is also the only butcher in town that we purchase our meats from, because it has proved its weight in gold each and every time and I highly recommend it!

With a heritage in the meat department like that, I couldn't resist trying at least one of their meaty options on my first visit here.

On the food side, the Boma Breakfast is famous in this part of the world and for good reason!

The Boma Breakfast: 2 eggs, 3 rashers of bacon, grilled tomato and toast.
From there, they allow you to add on a number of options and customise your breakfast with 200g steak, original Boerewors, mutton sausage, cheese griller, pork banger, pap & kaiings, fried mushrooms.. the list goes on and on.
The Boma Breakfast is the ultimate fry-up and my Dad often even orders it at lunch time, which they kindly arrange for him!

We also selected two salads to share (thinking that we would take home whatever we didn't end up eating for lunch):
Biltong Salad: Salad with avocado, feta and sliced biltong with honey and mustard dressing.
Chicken & Avocado Salad: Tender chicken strips with roasted tomato, avocado and red pesto.
I was impressed with the portion sizes and with reasonable pricing to match, this makes  Café Boma one for the hidden gem range! I will return soon.

*Recommendation: This is truly the spot for fussy meat-lovers, and with exceptional quality meats, you can't go wrong ordering a meaty option! I plan to return soon for one of their steaks!

An normal monthly breakfast which we had at Cafe Boma in Moreleta Park.
Somewhat unknown restaurant produced a not too bad first experience.
The place were neat and spacious. Friendly reception and services.
Extremely cheap breakfast that taste amazing.
I ordered the Boma breakfast with an additional add-on of pap and kaiings.
An overall good experience with tasty foods
