Find the food and service good despite a problematic waiter during a family meal. Would return anyday for the olive paste with the bread basket. A simple starter that on its own speaks of delicious quality! A glass of wine overlooking the horizon is also worth the visit here...
Two words: breakfast buffet. For R95 per person you can choose from a selection of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, cheeses and cold meats, and of course the traditional bacon, eggs, toast and sausages. Excellent value for money. Buffet is self help so you can go back for seconds without receiving a dirty look. Coffee, tea and fruit juices need to be ordered and paid for separately though.
Runs from 09:00 until 11:30, Saturdays, Sunday and public holidays.
Can't comment on the rest of the menu but I can say we were helped by a friendly waiter that stuck to the background and never made a nuisance of himself.
Has broken away from previous franchise which is always a plus. Relaxed and informal but good attention to things that matter, eg: Linen napkins, excellent hand baked cakes, focaccia and fresh pesto. Would be good to see preserves and jams not in pre packed plastic but overall it's good value and convenient. Hard to resist the Gelato and sorbet station.
