Jamie's Italian Restaurant:
If it's fine dining you're after, rather skip Jamie's as you will be disappointed. Jamie's is all about honest, simple and plain down yummy Italian food served with a smile. The overall atmosphere is friendly and warm and the manager visited our table twice to check if all was in order. We first visited a year ago when Jamie's first opened and we were as impressed yesterday as we were then. In fact, in our opinion, the food has improved in the past year.
We had the garlic bread to start and it was decadent! Served warm with just enough toasted garlic and butter. For mains I had the famous bolognaise- a very generous portion, flavourful, authentic and worth all the carbs!
My fiancé Rugan Naicker had the Italian beef burger and spicy fries- the brioche bun was toasted and the beef patty homemade and delicious. We shared the tiramisu for dessert- each with an espresso martini of course.
Our starter (shared between two), mains, fries, dessert (shared), a bottle of MCC and two espresso martinis set us back around R780, R900 with a tip.
All in all a pleasant experience and we will definitely return.
The Spaghetti Carbonara is to die for!!!!! The staff are friendly and well trained. Would recommend this place to everyone. Please opena restaurant in Cape Town
