Stopped here at the garage for a quick cup of coffee before continuing with my journey South on the N3.
Was around 6a.m. Saturday morning, was quite busy which was surprising. Was waiting in the queue, only about 3rd in line, but there were two young women who were messing the guy around behind the till.
Changing their minds etc., was not long and the queue was 8 deep. Kudos to him for keeping his cool.
As a suggestion, perhaps get some HR marketing personnel in to get the support staff to know how to deal with indecisive customers i.e. Pardon me mam, would you mind standing to one side while deciding what you would like and allow me to assist other patrons in the interim. Once you have decided, let me know and we will endeavor to assist you immediately” sort of thing. It is a power-shift play, does not always work, but 9/10 it would.
The customers behind me were getting rather irate.
Got my Americano, strong, black and unadulterated.
While waiting the two minutes or so, noticed a fresh batch of dough being prepared. Was sorely temped to hang around for those to come out the oven.
At the same time, noticed the staff backroom was visible, very pleased to see it neat, organised and very clean.
Real pity about the raw sewage smell outside. Might put the business under pressure if the municipality does not do something about it.
Been there a few times for breakfast and they make it so beautifully 👌🏾
A lovely quick take-away and sit-down destination for a quick burger or spare ribs with chips if you feel a little peckish on your way to Durban or even as close as Heidelberg. Fill up your car and grab something to eat and drink. Friendly staff always. Try it!! Worth while!!!
