Red Cafe is a wonder little upstairs spot in Grahamstown where you get no frills no fuss good homemade fair. I love having tea and cake here just because the tea cups are so pretty. There is something relaxing about swirling milk into good tea. The prices are fair, the staff are quick and friendly and most of all the standard is consistent.
I like to settle for a toasted sandwich when I don't know what to eat. And this was a good choice //
Grahamstown foodies, we are all aware of how cute and great Red Cafe is. Those who aren't, should familiarize themselves. It has a book store / games board/ really great food. What more could anyone ask for from a cute cafe.
The food has a home made vibe to it, but still made better than you would do it. Really dope alternative fillings. And just a good time in your mouth.
The cafe is quite small, and intimate. Has a lovely outdoor balcony seating as well as a couple of chairs insides, so due to the intimacy, I would bring a special somebody here. It's an excuse to really get close to the other person, if you're in to that.
This is not in the photo, but they have the BEST milkshakes I've personally ever had, if you are here, do try yourself out.
Small towns are always so great because I feel they're as focused on giving you great eating experience as they are with giving you good food. Definitely my favourite in Grahamstown
2 years later and still missing Red Cafe's signature ooey gooey, sticky, perfect, dark chocolate cake. :( Perfect place for vegetarians, lots of great options.
