What a breathe of fresh air. It's been a while since I walked into a place where every staff member is friendly, upbeat and on the ball.
Also it was as busy as hell that sunday, we were lucky to get a "walk-in" table.
Our waitress Margaret was patient as we couldn't decide on what to have. They didn't have my favourite cocktail, but each time she walked past she suggested another drink, and i kindly replied no thanks 🤣 I'll stick with my coke. There are items on the menu, or if you want you can walk inside and order food from their ready made type foods.
Tina (the owner I think) also made her way around to all the tables checking up on everyone, also so friendly and welcoming.
I love Greek food and places, but I didn't feel like another yiro or souvlaki. Their Glyfada burger (tirokafteri which is spicy feta and bacon) made me look. What a good combo, you can also choose between beef and chicken, and it comes with a side of chips. Along with that we had a Falafel yiro.
The food was really good, the portion size was also great. We ordered some Zucchini "chips" which were not the usual ones. These were long cut and slightly thick and then dunked in a batter. Although it wasn't the skinny long crispy ones I prefer. These were quite yummy, added with some fab green chillies to add some kick. Oh and I spread that over my burger too.
They also have a little deli on the side, make sure you take a walk in and get some items to go. Biscuits, condiments, pies, desserts and much more. I was tempted to buy some Tirokafteri, I'm addicted since I first tasted it at another Greek place.
A really great place, awesome vibe. Would love to go back again sometime.

We often brunch at Mezetaki. Their yiros are wonderful (everything on the menu is if I’m honest). I also love their ice coffee. The service is cheerful and personal. The deli is also worth a visit. My hubby can’t resist their freshly baked breads.
Calamari Yiro ▪︎ 8.5/10 Calamari fresh and tasty, same goes for the yiro pita. Quite expensive, and it doesn't come with a side.
Chicken Prego ▪︎ 8/10 *Chips are fantastic! Meat great; spicy, to be expected i.e. not for kids/people sensitive to chili.
Moussakka ▪︎ 6.5/10 Didn't seem extremely fresh, not as to make one sick or inedible, but expected more from a Greek restaurant.
Pork Souvlakia ▪︎ 8/10 Fresh, juicy; lacking a bit of salt. Would need at least 2 sticks to be a decent meal, again a bit over-priced then for what it is; if it was Lamb it would be understandable.
Plain Burger ▪︎ 7.5/10 Quite pricey for what it is, nice meaty patty. Great chips again.
Taramosalata & Pita ▪︎ 7/10 I can only compare this to Pappas On The Square, their Tarama definitely tasted richer than Meze's (seems the Roe content was higher at Pappas); Meze's also tasted more acidic/tangy. Meze's pita also of a slightly different consistency (thicker, less pliable and "drier" than Pappas).
COFFEE (side biscuit is delightful btw) ▪︎ The Greek style coffee, Loumidis brand, was pleasantly interesting; naturally there is quite a bit of sediment at the bottom of the cup, so one has to let it settle and not drink all to the bottom. There was a sweet, medium and no sugar option. Preferred the no sugar, then added a quarter sugar stick and a dash of milk; after gently stirring must leave for sediment to settle before sip ▪︎ Americano coffee, Kimbo brand, seemed under extracted and not strong enough for my liking. R500 odd to buy 1kg bag of beans, way pricier than other good beans on the market.
Service ▪︎ No complaints, manager/s walk the floor and seem to keep a tight ship.
