Have visited this spot a few times and have never been dissapointed. The garlic naan is generous and fresh, whilst the curry is creamy and flavoursome. Wish they had a bit of a better balance between the mild (which is not spicy at all) and the medium (that is quite hot). The butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and kormas (chicken and lamb) are all great. We also enjoyed the chicken palak as a milder option. Love that they allow you to bring your own wine (no corkage) as they do not have a liqour licence. It is a take-away spot, so the service is at best ok, and the ambiance a bit lacking. But a great inexpensive option if you are in the mood for Indian food. Try ordering a few different dishes and sharing around the table as the portions are big enough to share as well.
We have never tried any Indian restaurant but wanted something different. Decided to get a takeaway from The Royal India Express and weren’t disappointed. I had the chicken roti and it was very tasty and very filling! The only aspect I didn’t like was the very large pieces of onion, although not a train smash. Will be back to try the other options on the menu.
Also tried their butter chicken and garlic naan! Delicious! The mild is sweet and spicy at the same time! Big portion.
The curry is really good. My favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Portion sizes are generous and the naan bread is always fresh.
Staff is super friendly and the service has been great every time.
