Our November lunch was had at the Royal Oak in Tableview. JT and MH had the Liver and Onions; both were very happy with their meal. CH had the Pork chop which found to be tasty but on the small side. I had the Bangers and Mash which was very happy with. They no longer have Bosun’s Bitter so instead we had the Devil’s Peak which was a good substitute. I would say that booking is essential as the Pub was full.
A cozy and a cool pub which has Guiness and Kilkenny on tap ( Quite rare in the area )
Quite a relaxing atmosphere which makes you unwind your stress :-)
Feels like you are somewere in the UK as soon as you inside.
Can get relatively packed because off the size which brings a lively atmosphere.
Food is adequate.

A tiny little pub tucked away in parklands, the royal oak took my right back to my British roots. It was like sitting in a pub back home and I appreciate that, because it's been a while since I've felt so comfortable. The staff are beyond amazing and their Sunday lunch is unlike anything I have ever seen before - complete with Yorkshire pudding and real gravy. What's more, they have images of royal oaks from around the world, and I found Chester's royal oak sitting pretty in all its glory - the one I used to have dinner at every Sunday while I lived in the U.K. Without fail. Absolutely amazing and loved our Sunday lunch and beer while watching the Grand Prix - this is going to become a regular spot!
