We heard from a friend that this restaurant was good and we MUST go there. From the street it didn't look great, but as you go inside you start to experience something that's rare these days. The waitress was superb and before long the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to welcome us and discuss the menu. Kyle is a likable guy and gave my fiancé and I great recommendations from the specials. His wife is usually the sommelier but on this occasion she wasn't there. We had a lovely romantic dinner that was Michelin quality.... Highly recommended.
The Shop. Short, easy to remember. But... The Shop is mostly unforgettable because of the the 2F: Food and Friendly ! We arrived a bit past 18:00 o'clock and no other customers inside. But, fast forward 30 minutes and 5 tables ,excluding ours, were already occupied.
The food experience was something unique. The Carpaccio was really unbelievable... and I could make the comparison quite easily since just the night before I had Carpaccio at a different restaurant. The Filet, Sirloin and Venison were cooked to a mouth watering perfection. Desserts were good, not too sweet. So, as far as the food goes, 5 stars ✨ no questions asked.
The restaurant has a nice layout, with an open kitchen concept where customers can see the cook at its best. Well spaced tables, no bumping into the chair next to you. Speaking of chairs... I found them a bit small and kind of out of style. They are not very comfortable sitting on them for a long time. So that gets 4 stars ✨
That makes this place a 4.5 star place.
Lovely little restaurant with friendly, efficient staff serving a limited menu (which helps keep the food fresh) plus daily 'specials' - and including some of the finest fillet steak around... All that with a nicely selected wine list... No hesitation, if you're in the area, go there!
