Pleasantly surprised by the interesting sushi and freshness of everything. Only thing I can fault you on is putting wasabi on top of ginger in ramekins...otherwise great sushi and service!
Food very good and depending on the waiter, service can be extremely good or ok. The owner personally greets customers and therefore makes customers return. Special mention must be given to David the sushi chef. He does special requests and remembers the special requests for returning customers. In general, the prices of Cape Town Fish Market franchise has gone up a lot and quite pricey. That said, they have some good specials as well and definitely worth popping by.
Far from home and felt like sea-food. When searching, Zomato led me here.
Ambience = 3 Nice looking decor and atmosphere
Food = 3. Real seafood place, the menu is quite varied, catering for meat lovers as well. I settled for Teriyaki Salmon with seasonal veggies.....well, it tasted more like salmon minus the teriyaki flavour.....
Nothing really exciting on desserts, settled for zuccota - which is claimed to be an Italian masterpiece, but just found it to be a frozen ice-cream covered with chocolate with some spongy cake base, served with another ice-cream scoop....😬
Wine = 4. The wine list is quite extensive and impressive.
Service = 5. Even though new, my waitron did her best to make me feel at home and was quite friendly and attentive.
I guess in the absence of the best, franchise eateries become the best.....😅
