A good option for a quick breakfast and a coffee, especially when popping in to do some grocery shopping at Pick n Pay, but can be a bit cramped when busy. They often have quite good value breakfast specials.
We were in Plumstead early in the morning looking for a bite to eat before work. Nothing was open. So we were headed to PnP to grab something there. What surprised me was seeing Dulce cafe open. At 7:30am. I ordered a chat latte and a early bird breakfast. Chai (R26.90) was made with powder and way too sweet. Not enjoyable. The brekkie was another matter entirely. Delicious & filling! For R34.90 we got eggs, cherry tomatoes, bacon (on the small side), ciabatta toast (yummy) and a side of chips which we substituted for mushrooms - at no extra charge. I would recommend this.
Popped in here for a very quick breaky en route into the office. Always seen this coffee shop whole shopping at pick n pay but never been. We ordered the continental breakfast which came with a coffee for R49! It consisted of toast, 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms. Quite a bargain. The service was speedy and efficient. Breakfast came reasonably quick, was good, winter soothing food! :)
